In conjunction with the exhibition “Before the alphabet”, the great mathematician Piergiorgio Odifreddi narrates – in his lecture “Clay Numbers Silicon Numbers. An extraordinary story” – the fascinating adventure of numbers and calculations through the millennia: from the systems developed on the banks of the Tigris and Euphrates to the modern era.
