The evolution of God, man and the search for the sacred
Vito Mancuso, well-known theologian and professor at the University of Padua, inaugurated the “Dialogues” promoted by the Foundation: a knowledge of humanity seen in its different aspects and cultures, with a spirit of openness to the confrontation of ideas, as in the deepest tradition of Venice, the city for which the Foundation has decided to work with particular commitment.
Mancuso articulated his speech on “The Evolution of God. Man and the search for the sacred”, trying to illustrate to the public the way in which the contemporary world faces the concept of the divine; a concept – and an image – that have undergone many evolutions and that, over the centuries, have needed to be updated.
