Venezia Sounds 2024 – A music party for Tomaso Cavanna
Venezia Sounds 2024 – Music and Research in Support of Oncological Immunotherapy
On October 26, 2024, the Arsenale of Venice will host Venezia Sounds, an event that unites music and medical research, promoted by the Giancarlo Ligabue Foundation and Medicine Rocks, in collaboration with the Humanitas Research Foundation.
This evening, also a tribute to the dear friend Tomaso Cavanna, will feature performances from some of the most representative figures of the Italian music scene, including: Andy, Livio & Sergio (Bluvertigo), Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Joan Thiele, Motel Connection, Negrita, Roy Paci & Aretuska, Alex Neri (Planet Funk), and Saturnino.
All proceeds from the event will be entirely donated to oncological immunotherapy research, supporting the work of Professor Antonio Sica and his team at the Humanitas Research Hospital. The goal is to improve cancer therapies, making them more effective and less invasive, using nanotechnology to directly target tumors, thus reducing toxicity and enhancing treatment efficacy.
The Venezia Sounds organizers have also announced their intent to make this event a recurring one, combining art and science to raise awareness and support cutting-edge medical research.
