The Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Giancarlo Ligabue has extended with the arrival of Steven Hooper, Professor of visual arts at East Anglia University and director of the Sainsbury Research Unit in the same University. 
Professor Hooper is specialized in the arts of the Pacific Region and North America. His main interests cover the relationship between Polynesian material culture, chiefship and ethnohistory.
He has curated major exhibitions at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art and is the author of various publications. The most recent is “A’a: a deity from Polynesia”, British Museum Press.
