Ultimate starting date for “De Visi Mostruosi”: January 2023

After postponements caused by Covid 19, the exhibition “De visi mostruosi”, dedicated to caricatures, has a new starting date: January 2023.
It will start with Leonardo da Vinci’s “Testa di Vecchia” (Head of an old woman), from the Ligabue Collection, an ink drawing of a pug-faced profile of a woman.

Thanks to Italian and international lenders, it will be a journey into caricature over several centuries, with particular attention to the “insolent imagination” of Giambattista Tiepolo in the 18th century.
The curator will be Pietro Marani, professor of art history at the Politecnico di Milano as well as president of the Ente Raccolta Vinciana in Milan.
