Futuro Remoto

Palazzo Erizzo Ligabue

18th April - 27th April 2026

A space suspended between time and memory, a return to the essential and to the deepest origins of human experience. A remote past shaped by darkness and symbols, where a primordial need emerges to express thought, fears, and knowledge—free from superstructures, in a search for light within the darkness.

Completing the experience, a sound program inspired by prehistory accompanied the exhibition, featuring musical interventions and acoustic experiments capable of evoking archaic atmospheres and echoes from the depths of time.

Presentazione

This is the atmosphere evoked by the Fondazione Giancarlo Ligabue with FUTUROREMOTO, the exhibition staged at Palazzo Erizzo Ligabue, featuring ten photographs by artist Domingo Milella (Bari, 1981), who has long been engaged in the study and documentation of the most important decorated prehistoric caves.

Hosted within the rooms of the palace overlooking the Grand Canal—restored to their essential character through a careful conservation project—the exhibition enhanced the dialogue between space and artwork, foregrounding darkness as a central element of the artist’s research. The project is part of the broader initiative to open the venue to the public, in anticipation of the future “Palazzo delle Arti.”
